National Tae Kwon-Do is the ancient Korean martial art that incorporates techniques for self defence involving the skilled application of punches, flying and jumping kicks, blocks, dodges and interceptions with the hands, arms and feet for the rapid disposal of your aggressors.
National Tae Kwon-Do teaches the time tested: "Art" of Tae Kwon-Do which will truly prepare you to weather and overcome many problems you will face in a lifetime.

These teachings are opposed to the decaying "sport Tae Kwon-Do", where players compete for medals or trophies of no moral value and indicates nothing of a persons ability to effectively defend oneself from attack by one or more aggressors. In actual fact we refer to sport Tae Kwon-Do as "games".

There is a constant cry from all sections of our community for more discipline and respect from our young folk but these qualities can only be taught by example. National Tae Kwon-Do instructors pride themselves in their ability to effectively teach qualities like courtesy, politeness, self respect and self control to those who are dedicated to the art of Tae Kwon-Do.

National Tae Kwon-Do under the guidance of Examiner General Mr Allen Byrne, does not use Government finance, politicians, entertainers, sporting or public personalities or resort to circus-like acts to promote the organisation. Mr Byrne is of the firm belief that "martial art clubs" who lack traditional values and quality in what they are teaching will resort to almost anything to sell their inadequate product. Please be warned as many innocent victims have been caught out by these schools and consequently the victims which number many hold the School and their operators in contempt. Please choose wisely when selecting a self-defence school for yourself or your children - it is important.
